Kitty Forseth views her papier-mâché creations as a canvas with which to express her love of art and nature. Her fascination with this medium stems from her life-long love of crafting, paper, and a strong desire to express her creativity in a unique and special way. Her company, Sweet Invocations is named for the sweetness of the antique German chocolate moulds she uses to form her creations, and the nostalgic memories invoked by her vintage style. Her pieces are embellished with vintage accessories and trims. All of her pieces are hollow and made with archival cotton fiber paper pulp.
Kitty attended the Academy of Art College in San Francisco and worked as a freelance graphic designer before eventually leaving work to begin her family. She still utilizes her graphic design skills, designing ads and promotional materials for juried folk art shows in which she participates.
