For as long as I can remember, I have been painting. I have painted in various styles, but my love of antiques led me to folk art. Once I found that, I never wanted to paint anything else. Since I have had no formal training, folk art seemed to be the perfect fit. I wanted to decorate my home with silhouettes and old paintings, but the scarcity and expense kept me from aquiring the "real thing," that's when I began painting them for myself. Soon I was selling them to museum shops, decorators, and specialty shops.
Great care is taken with every piece of work. Each silhouette is individually hand cut and water colored. Each painting is water colored with pen and ink details. All of my work is framed in hand made frames with antique glass to give them the most authentic look possible.
